Advanced Drama Trimester 1 Projects
1. Broadway Play Poster: Students will choose one Broadway play that they enjoy or inspire to be in one day and create an 11X17 poster (Drawn or computer generated) advertising the play at a venue of their choice. The poster must include a brief descitpion of the play and students starring in the play. Each student will have a lead role in the play they choose. Dates, times, and other important play information will be required as well. Students will then choose a monologue from their play to perform on the stage. Students must memorize their monologue and use props and costums.
2. Monologues: Students will act out 2 monologues. The first will be chosen in class. Students will learn script writing and will be tested on stage terms prior to performing. All monologues must be memorized, and students must use props and costumes.
3. Dramatic Skit: Students will take an exisiting literature story/play/movie or create their own story using the plot structure format to act out in class. Students must play atleast two different characters. (This is one of the categories that students can choose to compete in in the Speech Competition in February.)
