Articles
Students are assigned one article per week. Students are expected to have their article ready for peer editing by thursday. Articles will be edited by two other students and returned to the student for final draft. All final drafts are due Friday. If students do not fiish their article on Friday is is homework and must be turned in by Monday for full credit. Students must use a flash drive to save all of their work. Students must also complete 2 peer edit worksheets each week.
Students who submit the best quality articles will be published.
Projects
Students will be assigned one project a trimester. All projects will be due one week prior to the end of the trimester. Late work will not be accepted because students will have a 10 week notice on the assignment.
Rules and Expectations
1. Respect the teacher and the other students in the classroom.
2. Follow directions the first time they are given.
3. Food and drinks are prohibited in class except for water. (Absolutley no food r drinks by computers at any time)
4. Be prepared to work and turn your assignments in on time.
5. Computers must be checked out and used respectfully or you will loose all computer privlidges.
Helpful Hints
1. Students are responsible for al lwork that is assigned. Deadlines will be enforced to
ensure prompt production.Failure to produce work may result in removal from
Newspaper.
2.If you are absent, you areresponsible for turning in anything that was due while
you were absent andgetting any work that you missed.
3. NO CELL PHONES OR TECHNOLOGICAL DEVICES ARE ALLOWED UNLESS GRANTEDPERMISSION BY THE TEACHER.

Helping other students or the teacher when asked

Discipline Policy
Students will be given oneverbal warning; next students will receive a note in their
planner stating thebehavior that they have displayed in class. They must have a
parent signaturethe following day or a detention will be given and a phone call
home. If astudent is rude or defiant in class they may be sent to ACP or given
adetention for their actions.
